Continuing a proud tradition of giving to Stewart House

For decades, teachers and administrative staff from public schools across NSW have generously supported Stewart House, a unique residential program in Sydney that gives vulnerable children from public schools across the state access to health, dental, optical and audiology care, emotional support and a safe, encouraging environment. During their 12-day stay, children take part in wellbeing programs, outdoor activities, and learning experiences designed to build resilience and confidence. More than 170,000 children have benefited since 1931.

This remarkable legacy of care continues today. Setting up a regular fortnightly donation is a simple yet powerful way to support the Department of Education’s charity of choice. You can ensure Stewart House remains a haven for public school children, delivering vital health care, wellbeing support, and hope for a brighter future.

Stewart House relies on the generous support of staff and schools to cover program costs so that children can attend completely free. A small pre-tax donation from your pay – even just $5 per fortnight – can have a powerful and lasting impact.

Together, we can keep making a difference. One child, one payday at a time.

How does it work?

By filling in the form to the right you will be adding Workplace Giving to your list of benefits in your salary packaging account to make regular donations to The Department of Education’s charity of choice, Stewart House directly from your pre-tax salary.

This means the donation amount is deducted directly from your pay before tax is calculated, effectively lowering your taxable income.

Once set up, the process is automatic and hassle-free, with your chosen donation amount sent to the charity each pay cycle. It’s a simple way to make a meaningful impact on the lives of thousands of children while enjoying the benefits of reduced tax.
