Q: How could a novated lease help me save?

Your finance and running costs are bundled into one simple payment each pay. Meaning expenses for things such as fuel, maintenance, insurance and registration are already budgeted in your running costs. You don’t pay GST on these expenses, which means you pay less money on costs you’re already paying.

Q: Do I need to drive a lot?

No, you can drive as little or as much as you like. There’s no minimum km requirement with a novated lease.

Q: How is a novated lease paid for?

Smart makes deductions directly from your salary to pay your lease. The deductions continue until the lease ends, or you leave your employer.

Q: Is the car registered in my name?

Yes. A novated lease is just like purchasing a vehicle with a bank loan, so your car is registered to you, and is yours to drive as you choose.

Eligible Customers will receive (each, a Rebate):

a $3,000 cashback on BYD ATTO 3, BYD SEAL, BYD SEALION 6, BYD SEALION 7 and BYD Shark 6 when ordered by 31 December 2025 and delivered by 31 January 2026.
$4,500 cashback on BYD SHARK 6 (Deep Sea Blue colour only) when ordered by 31 December 2025 and delivered by 31 January 2026.

This offer excludes: Fleet customers, government, rental purchases, demonstrator vehicles, any transactions involving additional promotional offers or discounts, customers who purchased a BYD Dolphin and newly released models Atto 1, Atto 2, Sealion 5, Sealion 8 and Shark 6 Cab Chassis. Eligibility for this offer is not guaranteed until a vehicle has been allocated by BYD Automotive against your order. Vehicle allocation is subject to availability. If you have ordered your vehicle directly through BYD Automotive, a BYD Automotive Product Specialist will contact you to confirm your allocation and eligibility. If you have ordered your vehicle through Smart, we will contact you to confirm such allocation and eligibility. The Rebate will be processed as an Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) to the Eligible Customer’s designated bank account. The Rebate will be issued 30 days after the completion of an official Cashback Application Form, which will be emailed to customers within 7 days of vehicle delivery. Customers must complete the official Cashback Application Form no later than 31 March 2026.
